Unable to email!!

I am using 7Notes HD Premium version 3.0.11 on an iPad with iOS v8.0.2. I have my email configured accurately but when I try to send a document to myself it won't send and I get an error message "Unable to send email. Confirm the email settings." I have confirmed the settings are correct. Please help. Thank you
