Did you remove the AIB Beta Chrome extension?

This morning I had no AIB in my gmail window, although the Beta extension was still listed in my extensions. There was not way I could get it to load, so I deleted it and installed the regular Chrome extension available online. All seems to be fine.

But I am curious why the previous extension stopped working suddenly. Any ideas?

Thank you!

  • Hello Ken

The beta is only used/useful when there's work being done so a beta version is needed. We finished the final updates for v7, so there's no new work being done meaning there's no need for a beta version.

At the moment, we have the stable version which is on our website, and we did an update on there recently following a Chrome update.

That's the one to use just now.

  • Thanks, Lisa. Just FYI, when I originally installed the Beta version, back when you were rewriting AIB due to Gmail's major changes a few months ago, I was told that I could leave the beta version installed - that there was no need to return to the stable release.

So I was really inquiring if you'd removed the Beta version within the last couple of days, which would have caused me to lose my AIB access.

No worries as I installed the stable version. I was just trying to understand why AIB had disappeared from my Gmail.
