The add-on doesn't work at all (edit: only register form has problems)

Hi Bjorn,

I'm revisiting a project that was on hold for a while and that uses the Simple Registration add-on. Previously, your add-on worked fine. Currently, not even the basic form from your documentation works. And by that I mean when I submit the form, I get sent to the site's index page. No members are registered. The return="" param doesn't seem to work. AJAX data is empty. I've tried the form by itself (no other code) without luck.

I wonder if I have a corrupt installation. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the module to no avail. My current version of the add-on is 1.3.2 and I'm running EE 2.3.1 build 20111017.

Do you recommend upgrading to the latest version? I don't see that I ordered your Simple Registration plugin; maybe I got it before you started selling it? I'd like to get my current version working, but don't know if it just doesn't work with my version of EE. Thanks.

Update: Hah. Sometimes it just takes posting a problem to get a (partial) solution. I played with things more and the sign in and forgot PW forms work as expected. Just the register form is having trouble. Here is my code for reference:

{exp:simple_registration:form ajax="y" honeypot="name" id="join-form"}
<div>
<label class="left" for="email">Email address</label>
<input type="text" id="email" maxlength="100" name="email" required="required" />
</div>
<div>
<label class="left" for="password">Password</label>
<input type="password" id="password" maxlength="32" name="password" required="required" />
</div>
<div>
<label class="left" for="username">Username</label>
<input type="text" id="username" maxlength="32" name="username" required="required" />
</div>
<div>
<label class="checkbox"><input id="reg_accept_terms" type="checkbox" checked="checked" name="accept_terms" value="y" required="required" />I have read and agree to the <a href="{homepage}/terms">Terms of Service</a>.</label>
</div>
<input type="text" name="name" />
<input class="button" disabled="disabled" type="submit" value="Join" />
{/exp:simple_registration:form}

Hi, I always recommend upgrading to the latest version of both the addon and EE. I'm pretty certain your problems will be fixed if you upgrade.

Upgraded to 1.4 and that didn't solve the problem. I'm developing locally, if that means anything.

That's very odd, I just copied your code, removed the disabled="disabled" from the submit input and it seems to work fine.

What happens if you do the same?

Hi Bjorn,

For some reason I wasn't notified of your responses, but I wanted to let you know that everything works fine on the live server, which is what matters. I'll double check the disabled on the submit button next time I'm working locally. Thank you for your time!
