I’m frustrated

Can't authorize Hybrid

I bought Hybrid 1.6 to expansion pack upgrade. I have something called an 'unlock code' that unlocks nothing. I am really down on this software, or at least Digital River (which has a terrible rep amongst software consumers BTW). I have tried both the internet authorize and the manual authorize. As far as the manual authorize goes - there are conflicting instructions in the authorizer (it says to use the 'serial number' as the title of the email) and the website (it says to use the purchase order number as the title) and all I have as I mentioned is this 'unlock code'. This is terrible as far as methodology goes and I truly regret making this purchase.
