I'm having problems installing Xpand!2

It was running fine until today when I booted FL studio and it can't open a Project im doing because iLok License manager wasn't working so I uninstall both Xpand!2 and iLok and Now iLok is working fine and Xpand should be working fine too...
Except that It wont show up in my plugins menu no matter which way I try to install it.

If anyone knows what I can do, any type of help is extremely appreciated!

  • I’m Frustrated
Ive come to the conclusion that I am missing my .dll files when I run a fresh install.
Ive looked in multiple places and I found one post where the person randomly finds them in Their Program Data folder but There arent any there for me.

I also have an "AIR Music Technology" folder on my C: disk for some reason. I dont want it there since its a Very small drive only intended for my system and it could be possible that the installation doesn't quite make it because it runs out of room trying to finish on a full Drive

  • I’m Confused
Issue is Solved but with no apparent solution.

FL could not detect Xpand!2 what so ever. whichever folder I put it in (and yes I did make sure FL was looking in the right folders) but suddenly it just worked automatically... I have no idea why but Putting it in the Fruity/generators folder for like the 6th time made it work...

  • Hello, Noah

Thanks for posting! We apologize for the delayed response.

This is the location for Xpand:

This PC > Windows (C > Program Files > Steinberg > vst plugins

You can move the .dll file however, we recommend you scan this location to successfully use the plugin in FL.

Glad you were able to get it to work!

  • Hello, Joshua

Yes, that means you have already used your code. You are only supposed to redeem it once in your Ilok account. If you do not see the license in the Ilok license manager, please contact our support team with your code handy to see what they can do for you.

Software authorization inquiries cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Software Authorization Assistance inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the AIR Music Tech Support page. Select Software Authorization Assistance from the drop-down menu.

    or

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office.

Let me know if you have any questions!
