Loom - Suddenly has changed it behavior, when trying to load FLS12
WIN81. x64

No.1 issue: Trying to load as I always have, now I get the message "User Privileges Insufficient To Start A Low Level" Now I have to right click and select Run as Admin, never had to do that, kind of a pain, because I can't load Loom, if I run FLS from the Task bar. This one could be a Windows issue.

No.2 issue, is now, I'm being told Loom cant be loaded due to the following:
"Initialization Error: This software requires installation of device driver Interlok(R) and a reboot before running. Please reboot or reinstall the software"

I've had Loom, for a few years, and have never had this issue, is this and Ilok issue? I've never had to use Ilok, for Loom. What is going on??

As it stands, I can not use Loom :(

Also, I bought Vaacume Pro, and it requires Ilok, to run but I do not remember seeing that Ilok, is required when I bought it.

I love the AIR Music tech software, but these issues seem to be getting worse. hmm. I have updated FL Studio, a couple of time, so it might not be 100% AIR Music Tech.

Any help would be great, Thanks

  • Hello,

    Thanks for posting.

No.1 issue: Trying to load as I always have, now I get the message "User Privileges Insufficient To Start A Low Level" Now I have to right click and select Run as Admin, never had to do that, kind of a pain, because I can't load Loom, if I run FLS from the Task bar. You are correct in that this is a Windows-related error. More specifically, it's usually due to not being the administrator on the computer you're using. In order to get around this, you will usually need to right-click on the problematic application and select "Run as Administrator" as you have already done.

Can you confirm that you're the administrator on the computer you're using?

"Initialization Error: This software requires installation of device driver Interlok(R) and a reboot before running. Please reboot or reinstall the software"

I've had Loom, for a few years, and have never had this issue, is this and Ilok issue? I've never had to use Ilok, for Loom. What is going on??
Correct, this is an iLok-related issue. All of our AIR titles require authorization in iLok in order to be used. This ensures that should something happen to your computer, your license will be stored in the cloud or a physical iLok key so you will always have access to your license. You can also log in to your iLok account if you need to work on another computer using your software. You can download the latest version of iLok by following this link

I've included a few resources below concerning the iLok License Manager that you may find helpful:
    I hope this helps!

  • Ok, I'm still trying to get ILok to work, I've reinstalled and Activated Pace,in the Services section of WIN8.1 But its still giving me an error message, I've included two photos. I have emailed to recover my Loom and Vacuum Pro licenses. So I can update my copies.
Also, my copy of Vacuum Pro, is showing as demo/trial version. Its Should be the registered.

    Thanks for any help, Scott

  • Hi, guys. Ok, I've found my original unlock code(s)
But there are not enough for the Ilok registration/Activation.
There are 7 fields in the Ilok dialog box, but there only 5 sets of numbers, in my original unlock code(s). So, I need to get Ilok codes for the two pieces of software, I purchased. Who do I need to contact to get the Ilok code(s)?

    Thanks, Scott

  • Ok, I just got an email, with the new ilok codes. And got them entered into the ilok system and Loom, and Vacuum Pro, registered and loaded fine, and are now working as expected. Thanks for your help, Bill R. and to the AIR team. :)

    Cheers, Scott G.
