Vacuum Pro in Propellerhead Reason

I recently bought vacuum Pro VST for use in propellerhead reason. I already had ilok on my computer, but I think I didn't follow the steps for activating license correctly. After installation, the only thing that ever popped up when starting reason Daw was an air products serial authorization. I pasted my serial code without remembering that I was supposed to activate through ilok. I got a message that read this serial number has already been activated. I had my serial number reset buy both ilok and Air music. Reason does not find this VST upon startup, or with a search. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times , as well as resetting the serial number as I mentioned earlier. I've pretty much run out of things to try so if anyone has any ideas they would be much appreciated. Thank you

  • Hi Damon,

    Thanks for posting.

Software authorization inquiries cannot be handled here on the forum but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Software Authorization Assistance inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the AIR Music Tech Support page. Select Software Authorization Assistance from the drop down menu.

    or

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office.

Let me know if you have any questions!

  • Is Reason both 64 and 32 bit? Seems I remember it being only one or the other.
I don't think Reason is vst3 either. These could be factors or maybe not.

  • Thank you for your reply. I just read on propellerheads website that reason 9.5 does not support VST 3, only VST 2. Oh well, I only paid a dollar for the program....

  • If you can get it to work it's a nice synth. I know there is at least one work around. As
you can see in this article clearly Vaccum Tube Pro is loaded and working in Reason 9.5.

Two either free or low cost products are often used to make 32 bit plugins work in a 64 bit host. Bitbridge and Jbridge. Some Reason users have used this. Blue Cat also makes a plugin that integrates any plugin into any host but it is costly.

Reason 9.5 is only a 64 bit host. I believe that Vaccum tube pro offers both files when downloading it.

If you desire to use Reason only it can be done, just do a little research and decide what you want to do.

You could try Cakewalk by Bandlab. It has rewire and it is FREE. It hosts everything with no issues and is easy to use, has plenty of support.
You need to download BandLab app to download it. https://www.bandlab.com/download

The Bandlab app is a music making app also not to be confused with Cakewalk By Bandlab . Look for the lonk to Cakewalk in the app.
No catch though. It's a full featured daw for free.
