2 Rens?

Can I use 2 different MPC Rens on the same software? I.e.- using one Ren at home, then continuing on the same project on the same computer at the studio later on with a different Ren?

Also, what is the deal with the constant "silent" noise when trying to sample into the Ren? There's always a constant, visual noise signal when in standby record mode. It makes it really difficult to gauge the record signal for peak etc. Is there a way to make it go away? It's really really annoying. Thanks!

  • Hello Tanyon!

Multiple MPC Element/Studio/Renaissance can be used on one computer. The software will notify that the software was not originally registered with that particular MPC, but just click through it and everything is the same.

As far as the noise level on the input; it's an extremely - extremely low level noise but the sensitivity of the meter is such that it will appear. It doesn't indicate any type of problem. I kind of like having it as it lets me monitor the relative noise level of whatever gear I'm connecting to sample from.

There is not a way to remove it or change the sensitivity or curve of the input metering. Certainly something I can forward as a feature request, though! :)
