Advance 49 - PAD1 hangs

I do have an issue with my Advance 49. PAD1 hangs when I use it. When I touch it, it sends a note and changes the color as configured, but it stays in that condition and the note does not stop and it does not switch back to idle state.
When I press the PAD again and again, sporadically it switches back to idle mode.
The next time when I touch the PAD the issue comes up again.

The other PADs are working as expected.

  • Hey Frank,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that! We can verify whether or not Pad 1 is sending MIDI Note Off data to your computer with MIDI monitoring software. A MIDI monitor will show you all the incoming data from any MIDI controllers or MIDI interfaces that you have connected to your computer.

For testing MIDI devices on PC:
    Download MIDI-OX

This video will get you set up quickly for MIDI input monitoring in MIDI-OX:
    Monitoring MIDI Input with MIDI-OX

For testing MIDI devices on Mac:
    Download snoize: MIDI Monitor

Select the Advance as a MIDI input source in the monitor and press Pad 1. If you see MIDI Note Off data appear in the input monitor window after releasing the pad, the controller is sending the correct MIDI data to your computer and the issue is resulting from configuration within the software.

If the pad is not sending MIDI Note Off data and staying in a perpetual Note On state after release, your product may need to be serviced. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum, but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:
