Advance not being recognized by PC

Bought an Akai advance and it is not being recognized by my PC Laptop. I have downloaded the correct drivers from my account on Akai. How can I fix this problem?

    Thanks for posting!

    The Advance series is class compliant so you will not need to manually install a driver in order to connect to your computer.

    Does the Advance appear in your Device Manager? In this instance, I am using an Advance 49. As you can see, it appears under Sound, Video, and Game Controllers:

    If you are not seeing the controller in this menu, I would recommend testing with a different USB port on your computer as well as a different USB cord. You may already have another standard USB cord that you can borrow from another device such as a printer or other USB peripheral.

    If that does not yield a connection, try seeing if you can connect to another computer.
