Akai Force - Best way to copy events/notes in a sequence

Howdy!

I was wondering if there is a way to copy a group of midi notes in a sequence and paste them into the same sequence. Example:

Taking that first measure and copy it into 2, 9,10.

Thanks for your time!

Click on the selection box top right while in event mode as the diagram shows and select the events you want to copy. Then hold down the SHIFT key and look at the bottom of the LCD display for CUT COPY PASTE DELETE and DUPLICATE. Have fun. I'ts a little intuitive with some practice. Also you can use the pinch zoom tool (to the left of Edit) and pinch zoom the notes area to fit everything in or simply click that tool in the top left below clip to fit everything in.

  • Hey Dale,

    Thanks for posting!

As Keith mentioned, you can easily copy and paste note events in the Clip view. Press the Clip button and select the Event icon from the top left of the Force's display. Activate the Region Select tool to the right of the Eraser icon and highlight your MIDI events. Hold down the Shift button and hit Copy.

You can use your finger to place the Playhead to the beginning bar of where you want to insert the copied Sequence. Hold down Shift again and press Paste. If you need to adjust the entry point, scroll the Data Dial to nudge the entire Sequence to the left or right.

Let us know if you have any questions!

    Thanks for your help, Keith!
