Akai Force Granular Synth and Drumsynth or open platform

Hi,

i want to see a good sounding Drumsynth and a Granular-Sampler.

Anybody else?

Another way would be, to open the platform for third party plugins.

I think there is much more possible with the force. everybody else

is crying for ableton integration, but i dont care. i want more standalone possibilities

;-)

  • Hey freidimensional,

    Thanks for posting!

I also would like to see granular synthesis integrated into the Force. I'll be sure to pass along your feedback to the team!

In terms of third-party plugins, I think the necessary precursor would be disk streaming because with 2 GB RAM you would quickly run into CPU issues. As a temporary work around you can use the Auto Sampler to multisample external gear and create Keygroup Tracks. Check out this helpful guide for more information:

MPC LIVE - Autosampler for External Synths

The interface is the same for the Force and MPC series.

Let me know if you have any questions!

  • I think Freidimensional (good name!) is asking to use 3rd party Code on the MPC Live/Force, in the same way that the Air plugin instruments work (like VST do on the desktop).

There is some non-official information about the internals of the MPC Live, probably somewhat similar to the Force:
    https://niklasnisbeth.gitlab.io/mpc-i...
    https://github.com/TheKikGen/MPC-Live...

Autosampling to a Keygroup is a workaround, but looses some of the character of the sampled instrument.

PS "ACV6 MPC Kitten Mattress"... where can I get one of these?

  • Eliza - thank you!

And Burner Phone is right: i was speaking of 3rd Party Plugins in the same way that the air Plugins work.
If air can do it - other plugin programmers can do it as well.

Like i said - i think there copuld be so much more, akai could do woth the force.
unfortunately many users are disappointed and sold their units...

until now the force is a very unique instrument, i think other companies will
do similar instruments in the future. akai shouldnt pass their advantage...
