Audio streaming direct from SSD/USB

Any word on the request of many users of the MPC Live and X to stream audio direct from the SSD/USB hard drives to free up memory usage? For many, this would be a huge update, especially to use the MPC's live and standalone....

Cheers,
Dave

  • Hey David,

    Thanks for posting!

I do not have any information regarding audio streaming in standalone mode but the MPC Live and MPC X just received a firmware update this week that adds many new functions and improvements and I would encourage you to update! Check the link below for more information:

    MPC X/Live 2.0.5 Firmware Update

You can download the update for your MPC hardware from its respective product page at the following links under the Downloads tab:

    Akai Pro MPC X Downloads

    Akai Pro MPC Live Downloads

If you have not already done so, I would advise submitting this as a feature request with the MPC 2.0 Software's built-in feedback module. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!

    Thank you for your feedback!

I recently bought the MPC X and would love to see 24 tracks of audio streaming from ssd. The 2GB RAM are very limiting. Other than that i love this box.
    Thanks.
