Choosing pad banks for impc pro

Trying to figure out how to choose which pad bank to designate for chopped samples. When creating slices I don't know how to choose which bank to put them in. It always defaults to "a".

  • Hi,

    Thanks for posting!

When chopping your samples to pads, it's going to start with Pad A01 and fill in the rest from there. You can then save this as a new program if you'd like or save individual samples and load them on to different programs or banks if necessary.

When chopping your sample, there will be an option in the top right to choose the location where you would like to save the sample for later use. In program mode, there will be an option to save your program in the bottom left for later use. If you select the Sounds view in program mode, you can drag and drop sounds from your sample library or other pads, even to different banks. Just select and drag the sample you would like to copy, use your other hand to change the bank and drag your sample to the destination pad.

I hope this provides you with some options!

  • I don’t quite understand the instructions. I have two sounds. I want to chop sound 1 into bank A, pads 1-8. Then I want to chop sound #2 into bank A pads 9-16. There isn’t an obvious way to do this. When I click chop to pads it highlights A01-A08 but I feel like I should be able to change it right there. That would be the perfect scenario.
