I’m frustrated

'Computer Stopped Communicating' Message

I have a MPC Studio Black. Lately I have been getting a 'Computer stopped communicating' message on my interface. Likewise, I'm experiencing some latency from it as well. I'm currently running version 2.5 software on a Macbook running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. Help.

    Thanks for posting!

    Sorry to hear that you are having trouble! I recommend trying the following:

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the Studio Driver.

    2. Try connecting the Studio with a different USB cable, removing any USB hubs or adapters.

    3. Try connecting to a different USB port on your computer.

    4. Connect the Studio to a different computer to see if you can replicate the same behavior.


    If the issue persists after trying the above, it may be hardware related. Our support team will be happy to help you take a closer look at what might be going on. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:
