Connecting Akai Midimix to Reason 10

I'm trying to connect my Akai Midimix to Reason 10 without constantly doing the remote override and assigning channels. Any help with this?

  • I'm a little confused what's reason 10? I'm going to assume that's live 10, I plugged my midimix in an it worked everytime from the first time I set it up, so if your having to do this everytime which are you applying you have to constantly override everytime you plug it in or everytime you turn off ableton then turn it on? I'm going to assume again it's only when you turn it off, if that's the issue then you have it saved before it's configured. I've bought the apc40mk2, midimix, apc mini, an the apckey25 all since November so I have a lot to learn from scratch, but that's what I can only see from what you ask. Sry if I wasent much help, but I would check into the settings as soon as you turn it on, an save it after you configure it in. Cheers

  • Hey everybody,

    Thanks for posting!

The MIDImix will send the data that it is programmed to send which will affect Reason however you've assigned the incoming data in the software so this is more of a Reason question but I can offer a suggestion.

If you want the remote override settings you've programmed to be the default behavior of your projects, I would recommend opening an empty project, assigning everything you want with remote override, and saving that project as your template. This article will provide some additional information about working with templates:

    Using Templates in Reason

    I hope that helps you!
