Easier way to change time signatures in standalone

The current way of changing time signatures in the MPC X / MPC Live in standalone is extremely tedious. Adding a time signature selection like what's in the software shouldn't be that difficult, no? Not sure why it would only be available in the MPC software, probably the most straightforward way you could do it, and yet in standalone we either have to commit to making it a project default and restarting a project, or inserting bars (which is buggy and unintuitive anyways).

Having the ability to do this on a per sequence basis in standalone without having to "insert bars" or create project defaults would make A LOT more sense.

Not trying to do crazy metric modulations on my MPC, but I don't think it's too much to ask that users are able to easily switch between time sigs in standalone in a more straightforward and flexible way.

I would like to see that myself. Please be sure to submit this as a feature request with the MPC 2 Software's built-in feedback module. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!
