Force Looper warping audio tracks, but warp isn't on

The warp button is always deactivated for me when I inspect the clip. I'm just using a shure 57-a in, setting the looper to 8 bars, recording myself counting off the beats, then exporting to an empty audio track. On playback, the track is at half speed. Project speed is 60 bpm. I don't see a way to set the bpm of an individual clip.

Please help. I am so close to having this thing be really useful.

Thanks!

  • Okay so I think I got it after pressing every button ever. For anyone who falls down this hole behind me: in the clip screen, tap "region" in the top left. Then tap the arrow tool on the top bar next to the selection tool (the selection tool is the dashed rectangle). So yeah, tap the arrow tool next to that. Then tap the waveform to select the whole audio clip. THEN "warp" is highlighted, and you can disable it. After that, you still need to go into "clip" mode by tapping "clip" in the top left, then set the clip to the correct length.

For instance, I just created an 8-bar clip in the looper. It exported as 12 bars, and was warped. I have no idea why that is the default behavior.

Can I make it so that isn't the default behavior? So the looper exports the length I asked for in the beginning of the process?

  • Hey Chaka,

    Thanks for posting!

Glad to hear you were able to work around the issue! You can disable Auto Warp from the General Preferences. To do this, press Menu then the Settings icon. Enter the General tab and turn Audio Tracks Auto Warp off.

This will effectively disable any warping of your audio recordings!

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
