Getting MPK249 Faders to automatically sync to Ableton?

So I noticed the the MPK249 syncs the first bank of faders(8) to Ableton's tracks/faders and record arm buttons, but I noticed when I move over to control bank "B", this automatic mapping of the faders is no longer active.

Is it possible to make control bank 'B' the same as 'A' in that the faders and record arm buttons are automatically setup and synced when I add a new track in Ableton?

Thanks
Julian H

  • Hello Julian,

    Thanks for posting!

The banks will not automatically map themselves but you can easily map faders and rec arm buttons in different banks by using Ableton's MIDI mapping function. To enable this, click the MIDI button in the upper right corner of Ableton. Parameters that can be mapped will turn blue. Click the parameter you want to assign in Ableton, then move the control on the MPK that you want to bind to that parameter. Repeat this process as necessary to map your MPK to the parameters in Ableton.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
