  • I think that s not possible ... im engeneer my self and tried hard but it doesnt work.... im still looking for a solution; but i think there will be none... from day to day AKAI is getting worse; once a good Company now bull... company. same in the new series of mpc live and Studio ; ............
.... ; But you can try it with the app „midi link sync app“1•0•15 Version...than turn on ableton sync link in your mpc . the little sync app should now transform from ableton link to mtc sync. the deverlopers say so. i will try

  • Hey certified,

    Thanks for posting!

If the MPC is in Controller mode and you're working with Cubase, you will be using the MPC software within your DAW as a plugin. In this scenario, the MPC software uses the DAW's clock. You would not send clock data from the plugin's sequencer to the DAW's sequencer.

As far as the hardware synchronization setup on the MPC in standalone goes, it is relatively simple. You just need to configure the Send type to MIDI Time Code (MTC) in the MPC's Sync menu and put a tick mark in the box for it to Send MMC to utilize transport. Any synchronization performed in this manner will be transferred over a MIDI cable rather than USB. The rest of the configuration to receive clock from an external source will be set within the Cubase software. While this configuration is probably less common than sending clock from a DAW to external equipment, it should be possible if the DAW allows external clock sources to act as a master clock source.

    I hope this helps!

  • Hey Nick,
how about AKAI needs to put up a youtube video of this actually working because I have been reading post about the MIDI issues and I have yet to find a solution. I have even posted a question but I have not gotten a reply about MIDI...

MPC X DOES NOT WORK VERY WELL WITH MIDI IN ANY CAPACITY WHEN WORKING WITH A DAW... ADMIT THIS PLEASE...

AKAI ONLY WANTS PEOPLE TO USE ITS DAW AND THIS IS WHAT WILL GET AKAI WRITTEN OFF BY MOST OF US...
