How to transfer my beats from AKAI RX-20 to Reason 5????

how do i transfer audio from akai rx-20 to Reason 5 ?which cables should i use ? and the configuration please! i tried with usb -midi cable but unsuccessful :( can someone help me out pls `??

    Thanks for posting!

    The USB connection from the XR-20 only transmits MIDI, not audio. If you're looking to record the sound of your XR-20 into an audio track in reason, you'll need to connect the MAIN LEFT and MAIN RIGHT outputs on the XR-20 into your computer.

    You can do that either with an adapter to connect to your computer's built-in soundcard (common adapters found at RadioShack or pro audio music store), or connect it to a separate USB audio interface (which is basically a sound card meant for recording music, pro audio).

    There are some other facets to this type of setup, but the above is all you need to get started.

    You as expert on this machine ,can you tell me the proper configuration for use the Akai XR-20 as Reason controller ? I know its possible but all the ways i ́ve been tried doesn ́t work :(
