I can't unlock my MPC ELEMENT.

Hi!
I just wanted to use my MPC Element on my new Mac. Unfortunately it is not possible to register the product because it says in the unlock window "This serial number is not valid. (...)".

I filled in the serial number which I found in my akai account next to the registered MPC and which is also written on the bottom of the delivered packaging.

I guess it's because I registered it already on my old Mac which I don't have anymore? Would be nice if someone could solve my problem!

  • Hey Moritz,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. If you have MPC Essentials 1.6.0, the MPC Element will automatically populate the serial field when the driver is installed and the Element is plugged in and powered on. Refer to this guide for additional information on the unlock process:

AKAI MPC ELEMENT - SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AND UNLOCK PROCESS

If you try that and you're still having some trouble, our support team will be happy to help you take a closer look at what might be going on. Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Technical Support inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Akai Pro Support Page. Select Technical Support from the drop down menu.

    or

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
