I’m anxious to use and save projects and drum kits

I lose my saved projects and programs once I turn off my mpc 1000

Mpc 1000. I upgraded to Akai OS 2.13 so when my mpc is turned on I can save projects and programs and as long as it’s kept turned on I can access the files I saved with no problems but once I turn my mpc 1000 off I lose every thing I had Saved on my mpc

  • Hey Pablo,

    Thanks for posting!

The MPC1000 is a legacy product with limited support but let's see if we can figure something out. If you are having trouble with saving, it sounds like it is either relative to the compact flash card you're using or the hardware's ability to write data to a card.

The MPC1000 can save to compact flash cards with storage capacities of 32MB to 2GB in size. I would recommend verifying that the card you're using can have data written to it and fits within that storage capacity range. Ensure that there is enough room on the card to store the data you want to save. Also make sure that you have the card formatted properly - more information about formatting memory cards can be found on page 97 of the MPC1000 Operator's Manual.

If you test the card and it seems to be working properly, this could be relative to the hardware itself and the MPC may need to be serviced. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum, but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Akai Pro Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.

    or

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor.

Make sure to reference or link this thread to help out the support team.

    I hope this helps!
