Load User template on Startup in Standalone mode - MPC X

How do I get my user template to load on startup? I'm using the MPC X. I have a template chosen in preferences, but the X is still loading a blank project. I am also working in Standalone mode.

  • Hey Don,

    Thanks for posting!

In order to use a User Template, first you must enable that option in the Preferences > Project Defaults menu. In the New Project Dialog field, select: Demo/Template/Recent.

Once you have done that, enter the Preferences > Project Load/Save menu and choose the template you want to use in the Template File field.

Now, when you start the MPC or start a new project, you can select User Template at the bottom of the display in the Select Project screen.

    I hope that helps you!

  • Hey Nick,

Unfortunately, that doesn't help me. I've followed the steps and there is still no User Template option anywhere to be found.

Some more info: the selection of Demo/Template/Recent(not installed) reads as such.

Also, the path to the selected .xpj template isn't correct after selection. Ive also changed it in different ways to try to get the correct path and it still doesn't work. I've also saved the template in different places such as the internal hd and external hd. Also tried it in and out of a folder and still doesn't work.

I also tried it from Controller mode, via the software and got an error. It will not load the user template in any way.
