Mapping keys in presonus Studio One 3.5

I'm running Windows 10. DAW is Presonus Studio One 3.5. I am trying to map the keys in either Impact or Presence using the Mini MKII editor. I watched a video that addressed this but it didn't help. According to the video comments it didn't help a lot of folks. Sure could use some assistance. thanks

  • Hey ray b,

    Thanks for posting!

If you are using an MPK mini mkII, you can use the editor software to change the output of the controller itself but parameter mapping for Studio One or the plugins you are hosting in that software is not done in the MPK's editor - it is only done in Studio One or the respective plugin itself.

When you know the MIDI note values that need to be sent to your plugins (like Impact, Presence, or any plugin for that matter) you can use the MPK editor software to assign those values to specific controls on the MPK. Now, when you go back to the software/plugin it will only be a matter of using the software/plugin's mapping capabilities to bind those controls to your desired parameters. It might be helpful to use the MPK's four available program presets to assign custom control sets for the different software you are using - this will help you avoid overlapping.

    I hope this helps you!
