MPK mini mkII - Sustained Notes

Hi, I'm French, I have The Mpk mini 2.

(Today I dont know why) when I play above with logic pro X, notes do not stop. As if y always put on the clavier. As if there was a memory function. How to remove this function ?

Thanks you

  • Hey Mathis,

    Thanks for posting!

It sounds like notes you are inputting into Logic are sustaining for longer than you intend? Let's test the MIDI output of the MPK using MIDI monitoring software.

    For testing on Mac:
    snoize: MIDI Monitor

When you depress a key on the MPK, you will see a Note On message in the input monitor window. As soon as you release the key, you should receive a Note Off message indicating that you have terminated the duration of the note. Does your MPK respond this way or do you not receive a Note Off message?

    Let me know!

  • I have install Midi Monitor and test with it. I received a Message On, then a Message off when I stop to press the button. It looks good. I would like Logic pro run like this.

in Logic Pro X when I press a key, sounds start but when i release the key sounds continue. I don't know why
Pads runs good but Piano's button not.

Thanks for making time for me !

  • That sounds promising. It could be a setting within Logic that is causing this like a long release on the instrument you are working with. Is this unique to just a single instrument or can you replicate this in other sessions with other instruments?
