  • Hey certifiedbeatz,

    Thanks for posting!

The .xpn file itself will not load into the MPC hardware, but you can certainly create a program out of it with the MPC Software and load that program into a storage device and onto your MPC for use in Standalone mode.

To do this, open MPC Software, and drag your .xpn file directly into the expansion browser. The samples that you've added will be located in the expansion itself, and you can add these to your sample pool! Drag the samples from the sample pool to the pads in the MPC Software (arrange the samples however you like). Once you are satisfied with your arrangement, select File in MPC Software and choose Save Current Program... You will be prompted with a dialogue to save the location. I'd recommend creating a new folder to keep everything organized.

Make sure that you keep all of this files together as the .xpm file will read the samples and arrange them on the pads. Move the entire folder (containing the .xpm file and all samples) to your storage device. Eject the storage device from your computer and insert into the MPC X.

Open MPC's Browser, select Places, select your storage device, and you will see the folder that contains the program file and the samples. Open this directory and double-tap the .xpm program file. This will load the samples into your Project the same way that you've arranged them in the MPC Software. And that's it!

I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have any questions!
