MPC 2.0 Software Library Management/Browser

Does akai plan on updating the Library Management/Browser of the mpc 2.0 software? Its a shame to have all of that real-estate on the screen of the mpc x, live, and touch, yet no intelligent way to browse sound libraries, effect presets, and vst plug-ins. We should be able to browse vst instruments by categories (e.g., piano, keyboard, bass, strings) and by sub categories (e.g., acoustic, electric, FM, analog, digital, etc.). Mashine MK3 does this very well. We want to be able to do this from the controller. I hate that my akai drum expansions, basically, place all various types (kick, snare, clap, etc.) of drums in one big folder. I should be able search by category. Basically, just look at the layout of Mashine's browser/Library management
for inspiration

Yes, that's needed for the new MPC hardware. Being part of the MPC Touchscreen
workflow (using the MPC Touch) while runing the software-driven MPC Renaissance
next to each other, we very much prefer to use the old mouse and computer screen
when choosing sounds or projects from the MPC sound library. It's simply faster and
provides a better overview until logical categories are invented by a software update.

Actually the touch-ability of the Standalone units should be just right, when choosing
subjects or dive into sub-categories as you've mentioned. Playing with the Machines
in the shops and owning a NI Keyboard, we don't prefer this user interface/workflow
concept. Jumping back and forth/left and right while turning and clicking knobs, feels
like being in a little square box ..very unnatural but might also work on a smartwatch
screen. If their GUI only would be touch-enabled, which brings us back to the MPCs.
Anyway. Until library management and sound browsing gets not categorised, the old
mouse-on-screen-interface seems more efficient and quicker. It could change soon.

    Regards,
