MPC Live: Ability to load sounds in pad banks other than bank A

Hello,

on an MPC Live, I would like to load different drum kits into the same program.

This would be like:
1) select pad bank A --> load drum kit 1
2) select pad bank B --> load drum kit 2
3) select pad bank C --> load drum kit 3

How's this possible?

thanks and regards!

Only way I can see it happening is to Load up as Many Drum Kits as you want from the Browser Page. Then from the Main Screen, you "Assign Samples" via Program section. And Manually assign Samples from separate Drum Kits to different Pad Banks. But now you're stuck with whatever Parameters from the Original Program. Different Programs have different Parameters providing flexibility. Now you're Stuck lol

  • Hey mendobeatz,

    Thanks for posting!

As 40Beatz mentioned, using Assign Samples would be your best bet because an entire programs' worth of samples cannot currently be appended to an existing program.

Also mentioned, the original parameters for the program will be set in that program's Program Edit > Master tab but samples that are added to Banks B, C, D, etc. can be edited in depth on a per-pad or per-sample basis so you do have a lot of flexibility when it comes to editing programs at the sample level.

That said, I think it would be a great option to combine programs if you want to build an overall larger program. Please be sure to submit this as a feature request with the MPC 2 Software's built-in feedback module. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!
