Especially now that clip program is working fine with 2.4. Hail to Midi Clip in 2.5. Go Akai go!

i thought it was always the intention - but yes, this would make the MPC truly unique and I can think of a million ways to use - i suppose AKAI would have to figure out multitimbral midi I/O first though to make it really usable

but ys please midi clips would be a huge addition - as of now i find the existing midi functionality lacking compared with other products

  • Looking at Force, this would be the next logical step. Very useful for live setups with sequenced synths.

  • Hey everybody,

    Thanks for posting!

I think a means of assigning MIDI event patterns to pads so they could be written dynamically like clips would be useful. In the meantime, if you've written a pattern to a track, it can be saved and loaded into other projects by selecting the pencil icon in Main Mode and choosing Export as Pattern. You can choose a directory in which this pattern will be saved (try creating a Patterns folder in the MPC Documents folder or on your storage device if you're using one). Once patterns are saved to storage, you can load them in whatever projects you want.

Be sure to submit this as a feature request with the MPC 2 Software's built-in feedback module. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!

If you need an alternative method of submitting feedback, you may use the following links:

MPC - Submit a Feature Request

MPC - Submit a Bug Report

    Thanks for your feedback!
