MPC Live / X upcoming update features - suggestions and ideas

Hello Everyone,

I have suggestions for some really useful features in some of the upcoming updates for MPC in standalone and desktop software:

- Saturation plugin
- Limiter plugin
- Visual graphic equalizer plugin
- Gain reduction meter for the compressor plugins
- Reverb plugin in stereo because now is in mono
- Effects presets and chains save option
- Sidechain - the most requested future :)
- Glide and portamento option in the key groups
- Automation editing and drawing curve shapes

I think it will be really great if we get this features in some of the upcoming updates

Drop some ideas and suggestions if you have in mind :)

  • Hey Skitara,

    Thanks for posting!

The forum is a great place to discuss potential functions and effects that could be implemented into the MPC Software and hardware but be sure to submit this as a feature request to let our development team know with the MPC 2.x Software's built-in feedback module. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!

If you need an alternative method of submitting feedback, you may use the following links:

MPC - Submit a Feature Request

MPC - Submit a Bug Report

    Thanks for your feedback!

Features I would love to see added to mpclive and x

    Multitimbral midi input (a must)
    Side chain compression (a must)
Linear scene view of patterns in songmode (like every daw)
    Step modulators (juicy)
More granular and spectral sample mangling (mad creative stuff)
More synth engine plugs (granular, spectral, fm, Karplus, wavetable)
Automation lines and points, for fades as well (a must)
8 band eq with touch points (Pro q)
Fft & sonogram editing to remove noise etc (super utility think iris or Rx7)
3rd party plugs in stand alone (nice but not a must)
Auto Root note detect and placement (I have to say a must)
    Better timestretch/pitch/formant in stand alone (I don’t tether...so a must)
Tuner effect (to check pitches of sounds, I.e. guitar tuner)
Vocal effects such as (autopitch, doubler, vocoder, talkbox, and etc)
Stream from hard disk (this would rule)
    More audio tracks (16)
Guitar effects such as amps, cabinets, and pedals (all day)
Master channel automation and mastering effect (a must)
    Lockable performance pad mode(more convenient)
Automation of the sample index point (greatness)

It’s a great product already, so if I just see sidechain I will be totally happy!
    thanks for reading
