MPC Plugin drag n drop into Ableton?

Hello,

I've been reading a few comments about a scenario, whereby.. I could tap a beat into the MPC X and then drag n drop the pattern, as 'audio, into Ableton... is that a thing?!

  • Yes, using the MPC software it's easy to drag audio loops to any DAW like Ableton Live, Reason, Logic etc.

It's also possible to export and import via SDCard or external storage if you are not using the software.

Some things like arranging and mixing are much easier in software.

But to me making the beat is better on the MPC because it's played like an instrument.

I like do as much as I can to build the loops on the MPC then take the stems and continue in the DAW.

  • Hey Damo Diggler,

    Thanks for posting!

As John mentioned, you can drag and drop audio stems into Ableton directly from the MPC plugin. After you have programmed your beat, click on the Audio Export icon at the top right. After the audio renders, the icon will turn red. Click and drag the icon to pull the audio file into an available track in Ableton.

Let us know if you have any questions!

    Thanks for your help, John!
