MPC REN- 1.9.6- iMac, i7,16gb ram "No Interface available"

Hello, i bought me a new iMac yesterday an have some problems with the MPC Ren-Interface. Installed the Software (works fine) and the driver for Mojave but there is no sound available (just Onboard-Sound). The Ren is not available in Midi-Setup and don't show up in the settings. First i thought the USB-Connection 2.0 is not compatible with 3.0-USB but i thing thats not the real problem. Anyone can help me with that? Sit on it for hours and find no way out anymore. Thx and greets Bohème

  • Hey Bo:em,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the Renaissance driver. Ensure that you are installing the most recent driver v3.3.11 which can be downloaded from the link below:

    MPC Renaissance Driver (v3.3.11)

If the Ren will still not connect as an interface, you may need to enable mic access for the MPC Software in your Mac's System Preferences. Mojave implements strict control over which programs are allowed to use the mic. Reference this Apple tutorial for for information:

Control Access to your Microphone on a Mac

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

The interface is still not working. I've uninstalled the 3.3.11 driver and the software> then installed the software again> uninstalled the driver and installed the 3.3.11 driver again but nothing changed.

Audio-Midi-Setup> no MPC but in Midi-Studio is IAC-Driver and the MPC on the list

MPC-Software> just BuildInSound and the same on my System/Preferences (Mic ist enable on the MPC)

    Maybe you have another idea?

    Thanks and greets- Bo:em

  • Hey Bo:em,

Sorry to hear that you are still having trouble! Which point version of Mojave are you running? Is it the newest update 10.14.5? Also, which version of the firmware is your Renaissance on?

Let me know and I will run some further tests on my end!
