I’m very dissapointed

mpc x controller with WIN 7

so, obviously the Mpc x in controller mode is not supported by WIN 7.
the solution that most give is upgrade to win 10. the problem is most of my plugins/ programs/ projects settings wont run on win 10.
my question is, will there ever be a patch to make it work on win 7? or did AKAI completely disregard and dump most people that still use the Win 7 platform due to a more stable system( even security wise) ???

  • Hey Alfred Zaza,

    Thanks for posting!

As we know, the MPC X and Live hardware and the MPC 2.x Software is not supported for use with the Windows 7 operating system.

I do not have any additional information regarding OS compatibility decisions but if we look at this objectively, Windows 7 is now a dated OS. General support provided by Microsoft for Windows 7 ended in 2015 and this operating system's life cycle for extended support has an expiration date slated for 2020.

I would not personally expect support to be extended to the Windows 7 operating system but with that in mind we do encourage all feedback for the hardware and software. You can share information with with the Akai development team via the MPC 2.x Software's built-in feedback module. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!

If you need an alternative method of submitting feedback, you may use the following links:

MPC - Submit a Feature Request

MPC - Submit a Bug Report

    Thank you for your feedback!

Cant ignore that objectivity. Half of the machines out there still are Win 7 machines. Even tho the support has ended people still didn't dump Win 7. Its a lot more reliable version of Win as of now. I understand I made a mistake by not looking at the operating systems on the box. I just don't understand why the OS that is a lot more popular than the current new one was not included with such great piece of tech ( mpc x)...
