mpc x recording sounds problem

Hello there. When recording sounds on track like hihats etc i cant record other sound in tje same place. Could anyone explain to me how to solve that problem? Regards

    Sorry you're having some trouble with that! I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say 'in the same place'. Do you mean the same location in the sequencer grid on the same track? The same note? A different note maybe? Can you give me an example? Thanks!

  • If you're working in one track, only one MIDI event (note) should occupy one position in the grid at one time. What is your objective for trying to put multiple notes on the same position? Is there something specific you're trying to do?

    Without going too far into something you might not be trying to do, it sounds like this could be relative to your Timing Correction settings. If you're unable to add MIDI events in a certain location in the sequence, try changing the Timing Correct settings by pressing Main and selecting the clock icon at the upper right corner of the display. The higher the number for the timing division, the more notes you'll be able to squeeze together.

    If that doesn't help, please give me a detailed example of what exactly you're trying to do. Thanks!
