I’m bummed

MPD External clock

HI i just bought the mpd 232 today i was using it in flstudio 12 that i bought i set the transport to mmc and then i set the clock to external the sequencer and to note repeat worked but afer a while of making some patterns it just stopped now when i turn on external clock and play the sequence or note repeat it dosent work but if i turn off external it does please help. also my computer is sufficent in ram and it is a i7 so idk

    Hi Samuel,

    Thanks for posting.

    When set to external, the MPD will need to be actively receiving MIDI clock before the sequencer or note repeat will do anything. Usually this means that you just need to press play in your DAW so that it will start sending the clock signal. Turn the SEQ On/Off button on and then press play in FL Studio and the sequencer should start as long as its set up correctly.

    Check the FL Studio MIDI preferences and make sure that the MPD232 output port (the first one) is sync enabled so that FL will use that port to send clock signal out.

  • thank you for your reply and that is very helpfull i also might note that you should save to global after you select external clock. :3 that was the problem
    altho sometimes if i open a project it doesnt sync right like the memory is full or something all it takes is doing those steps and restarting refresh and then it works so idk thanks and all and all its a good device
