MPD232 Is not being recognized as being connectted to a USB port even though it is

The screen comes on but the pads do not lite up.

    Thanks for posting!

    Sorry to hear that you are having trouble! I recommend connecting the MPD with a different USB cable to other ports on your computer. Avoid using any USB adapters or hubs. If you are still having trouble, test the controller with a different computer. Is it recognized?

    If you try that and you're still having some trouble, your product may need to be serviced. Warranty and non-warranty claims are not handled here on the forum, but I can point you in the right direction! Here are a couple of options that you could choose from:

    • Submit a Warranty or Service inquiry with our Technical Support team by logging onto the Akai Pro Support Page. Select Warranty or Service Inquiry from the drop down menu.

    or

    • For quicker support, call your nearest Support Office or International Distributor.
