Performance improvements

Just a couple of ideas for Mpc Live standalone in a performance environment.

1 the qlink popup screen is very useful. You can stay on Track mute page (where you can also change sequence) and just use the popup to see the values of qlinks on project mode.
It would be even more useful to have a SHIFT+Qlink button to fix the popup without having to hold the button all the time (same behaviour of shift+note repeat).
Or maybe the qlink popup could stay fixed after holding qlink button and goes out when pushing it again.

2 it would be nice to be able to change sequence from qlink page.

3 it would be great to have a "next bar" to change sequence from Main and Track mute pages.

  • Hey Fabrizio,

    Thanks for posting!

You have a lot of great ideas here. I particularly like your idea of having a Q-Link + Shift function that will latch the Q-Link pop-up. I'll make sure to pass your comments to the team for consideration. Be sure to submit this directly to the team as well. You can send comments with MPC's built-in feedback module represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons.

If you need an alternative method of submitting feedback, you can use the following link:

MPC - Submit a Feature Request

    Thanks for your feedback! :)

this is great Fabrizio !! I'm dreaming of a better way of switching sequences from main screen : with next bar, sudden and quantified launch !! So that you keep your current program playable while switching sequence !!

    • Yeah same here, I switched off record track mutes.
If you just use Track mutes, you can build different sequences with different mutes combination and jump from one to the other.
Also you can play and record different phrases with same instrument, using sequences to change tune for example.
    • yep !! I don't use so much track mutes in my actual band ( I'm to busy playing synths , I just can switch sequences, make some builds ups / q links and one shots =) But for another project I'm sure I will use more track mutes to make a sequence more alive , and switch to other parts of the set or other tracks..

Would be so incredibly powerful to have something like a Q link configuration per sequence !!

You would assign the Q link on the "project" tab, and it would make it avalaible for each of the 128 sequences. of the projec, as it is now... But then, if you change it on each sequence, it would remember your assigns per sequence !! You'll get so much more from the internal effects and mixing abilities of this increidible machine !
