  • Hey John,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. Can you please provide me with your computer's system specifications (OS, Processor, RAM and System Type)?

There are a few things to consider when scanning plugins in MPC Essentials:

    • Make sure that your VSTs are authorized and activated in your iLok account. If it is not, MPC Essentials will not be able to access the plugin.

    • It's possible that the plugin is not fully installed in your computer's VST folder or the directory you are scanning is incorrect. Navigate to the VST folder on your desktop to ensure that the VSTs are installed and scan that same directory in MPC Essentials

    • Mac:

      C:\Program Files\VstPlugins

    • If the plugin is 32 bit and the MPC Essentials software is 64 bit, the program will crash. This pertains to the reverse as well. Double check that your VSTs and DAW are both 32 bit or 64 bit. Keep in mind that if you are using a PC, the VST directories will be different for 32 bit and 64 bit plugins. 64 bit VSTs are found under C:\Program Files whereas 32 bit plugins are located in the C:\Program Files(x86) folder. Scan the appropriate pathway.

    • If you are using a PC, you may need to reconfigure your Display Scaling. It's recommended to set this percentage to 100%.
