Change in reply by Nate Andrew to Really? Ok because as per logic that's what I was trying to explain. They have a section of the preferences that you can assign commands via midi or macro/custom assignments to. Let me do a little reading and fiddle around and see what I can figure out. In the meantime if you'd like to link up with me on social media like fb messenger or something I can try to dig in further with you. Ill keep checking back here too. Also IAC may be helpful it may not I just know for some DAWs it can serve to almost virtually route midi or audio messages..

Change in reply by Nate Andrew to What exactly are you trying to do in logic? It should be fairly easy to set up. Post back and I can walk you through it. Although I agree that Akai has definitely lacked in it's development and integration I'm pretty sure all you have to do is map a template to use logic pro x with your MPC.
