Tuning problem after switching on.

I use to play with settings on SEMI = 3 and FINE = some small value

When switch on the EWI the settings is back to zero.

When touching the knobs I still see my last setting values on the display.

After that the settings for SEMI and FINE is reactivated.

I would appricate if the last setted values will remain when swithing on

I have the last firmware 1545

  • Hi Anders,

    Thanks for posting!

Hmm, it seems like the EWI doesn't check the state of the knobs immediately on startup though I'm happy to send along your request to our team.

My guess is the tuning and other global EWI settings are assumed to be changed each time you pick up the instrument. But if that's the case, it doesn't seem like those setting should be stored if they won't be recalled immediately.

Thanks for bringing this to attention. I'll let you know if I get any updates to improve this response.

It wouldn't make sense to check the state of the knobs because they have double functions.

None of the changes that you make there are stored. If you want anything to be stored you need to go through the menus and store it there. If the parameter that you would like to edit and store does not show up there you are out of luck.

  • That is true. I guess I didn't consider the double functions.

Other than just touching the knobs when you power on the unit, the only other way to recall a tuning change would be to save it into each patch manually. Not ideal, but may work for his situation if he's just always using that tuning.
