I’m frustrated

Unresolved plugin issues carry over to MPC 2.5

Korg LegacyCell still crashes in MPC 2.5. Waves plugins still incur Black UI if closed then reopened. 2.5, like its prior iterations, will still crash when using Captain Plugins if you attempt to open their UI's.

Notably, these also fail to work in VIP. All my other DAW's are capable of running these same plugins without fail. I'd really like to be able to use them in the MPC software, as well as with VIP for that matter.

I am very glad to see that UI scaling has been fixed in 2.5!!! No more having to use Windows DPI Overrides!!!

  • I've had these same issues since upgrading to 2.4 and now 2.5. I'm on Mac OS X 10.14.4 Mojave and I didn't experience these issues in 2.3. Also I installed 2.5 on my MBP running 10.13.6 High Sierra and 2.5 was more stable.

  • Hey Brian,

    Thanks for posting!

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble! I agree that software compatibility issues are frustrating to work around, especially when you have a set of VSTs that you really enjoy producing with.

While this is an issue that our team is aware of, you can always submit your feedback to them directly for consideration!

    • My keys out of tune and random octave changes. In stand-alone the pads and midi keyboards play normal. In controller mode, since I’ve downloaded and installed MPC 2.5 software and firmware the keys and pads are out of order and some don’t play at all when playing instruments.

I’ve contacted support several times via email, smile icon and web form and gotten no answer. I’ve disconnected, reinstalled, restarted...all the usual troubleshooting. This is a big and it’s hurt my work flow for three days.

I’ve been an MPC user since 2000 and I’m almost to the point where I’m actually considering going another route. The buggy software and the freezing issues I’ve had with the Live is unacceptable when creating and embarrassing when you’re in the middle of working with a client.
