MPK25 USB port broken

I've seen a post mentioning a broken USB plug on an MPK25 and I have the same problem. The centre pin of the plug broke off. My question is this covered under warranty given my MPK was purchased less than 6 months ago? If not what would be the average cost to replace if it was RMA'ed to Akai?
