Using arpeggiator force detune the sound of my moog !

In my live setup ( analogue synths setup) when i use the arpegiator to my moog littlephatty , my akai force instead of sending notes only as its suppose to be , it send cc changing knobs position and detune the sound .. very very unpleasant and making my force totally unusable .. as i bought it for its sequencing abilities for all my synths, i expect it to not be bug like that tx !

  • Hey Francois,

    Thanks for posting!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble. I tested the MIDI Out port of the Force with a MIDI Monitoring Software. The ARP function does not send any MIDI CC messages. I tried many ARP patterns and consistently found that the only data transmitted is MIDI Note On/Off events. So the ARP is not directly causing this issue.

How are you syncing your gear? Are you sending MC or MTC from the Force?

  • Hey Francois. I had similar "chaos" with my Moog Subsequent 37 CV at first. Though I don't remember how exactly I fixed it.

My primary intention for the Force is also to jam with Moog with arp/sequencer (and have background groove right there, no computer).

Try to look thru Moog settings. Phatty may have similar setup as the Subsequent 37. Try to play around with settings, they may go deep, what it recieved, send, get thru or dup. Try to connect one way Force to Moog first too.

Hope you can make it work, because once it does, its heaven :)
