VST Plugins can't receive MIDI CC signal from VIP 3.1

VST plugins can't receive MIDI CC signal from Plugin Control and Patch Control. But Multi Control works fine with MIDI CC controls.

I tested with almost all of my plugins but Plugin Control and Patch Control never worked.

  • Hey Yuwei,

    Thanks for posting!

I'm sorry you're having some trouble with that! I tried this out on my end and I was not able to map a MIDI CC for either. Using the Learn button in the lower portion of VIP (control view), selecting a parameter for a plugin or patch and sending MIDI CC data from the Advance did not assign that MIDI CC to the parameter. I will forward this to the VIP development team for review.

In the meantime, a possible workaround would be to use the MIDI Learn function in the upper right corner of VIP represented by the MIDI DIN icon. While this will not allow for simultaneous control over multiple plugins/patches, you will be able to assign MIDI CCs for control over parameters in plugin and patch.

When I receive any information about this behavior, I will update the community. Thank you for your feedback!
