Windows 10 computer will not recognise that my MPC Live is connected to it, please help!

Help! windows 10 computer will not recognise that Mpc Live is connected.

I'm using the provided USB 2 - USB 3 cable, and following instructions, but the computer puts up a message saying that the connected USB device has malfunctioned, and the MPC live just displays a message saying that it's looking for computer.

I've set up the MPC 2.0 software and have this open when attempting to connect the Live to the computer, and have already updated the Live to version 2.6, which is the same as the version on the computer.

Is this likely to be an issue with the supplied cable, or is it more likely to be an issue with the computer or the Live?

Any help would be very greatly appreciated as Akai have not bothered to respond to my email asking for help.

    Thanks for posting!

    Sorry to hear that you are having trouble! Is the MPC Live's driver installed? The driver must be installed for the Live to connect in controller mode. I suggest navigating to the following pathway to verify this:

    Hard drive/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers

    If you do not see the MPC driver in this folder then you can install it from the MPC Software installer pack. Follow this guide for more information:

    Installing the MPC X/Live Driver

    If you already have the driver installed, then there could be a connectivity problem. Test the MPC Live with a different USB cable and other ports on your computer. Avoid using any USB hubs or adapters.

    Try this and let me know how it goes!
