49 Key Wireless Vortex Keytar

Hello Alesis....I have an Idea!
Check this out!!!
First, it seems that Alesis is taking this forum seriously.
(most of the comments are responded...) Good job.. ;)
Second, let"s go to the point.
The title say it......Alesis need a 49key Wireless keytar.
Here is a list that can be considered as an idea or update.
And the very first is...........
#1 49key wireless keytar.
#2 smooth accelerometer.
(sometimes the assignable parameter jumps to much no matter how smooth you move your keytar.)
#3 Drum pads need to be a little bit more sensible.
#4 Knobs in the back of the neck for a total control. (the assignable touch strip fits great, but what about some knobs on the back of the neck) I did this to my keytar and I can tell you that this gives you a total control of the keytar.
I hope you see this pics....What I did is, I removed the 3 knobs that were in in the middle of the body and only moved two knobs to the back of the neck.
#5 I let the community throw some ideas and see what they think on the comments below. I hope this reaches the engineers and designers of the Vortex Keytar. However, you guys did a great job with the wireless vortex! Thanks. ;)

  • Hello Carlos,

Thanks for posting and for the feedback!

First of all, I'll happily submit each of those suggestions as a feature request, on your behalf, to the development team. We're always looking for feedback on our existing products and ideas for new ones!

I do like the idea of moving the knobs to the neck. Do you find yourself doing wanting to module parameters on the next while playing with your right hand? Did you actually rewire those knobs?

  • Hey Dan! Thanks for the feedback too...

Thanks for submitting each of the suggestions from this forum. ;)
I'm a musician and believe me, some times I wish I could to be part of the development teams not just for keytars, but electronic drums, synthesizers and so on. I'm glad to share this ideas or suggestions with you guys...and hope to see some of them on the next keytar.

I'm glad you like the idea of moving the knobs to the neck and hope that the development team take a look on it.
Yes! I find myself doing wanting to module parameters while playing with my right hand. I love this feature, it gives me more control of the keytar by having the knobs on my left hand(by my fingers). I started to module one knob while playing. Now, I modulate both at the same time. I tried to module the two knobs and the touch strip at the same time while playing with my right hand and it worked....I know some musicians don't module three things at the same time, but the point is there, this gives more control of the keytar. There's no limits on the music world.

And Yes! I did rewire the knobs. I know how this things work.
I want to share this with you guys too.
I got the wireless vortex a couple weeks ago and I really love the wireless and accelerometer feature. I tested(played) the keytar for a couple hours, read the manual and then when every thing was working fine...BOOM!

I couldn't wait to move the knobs. This time I put wider diameter knobs in order to have smooth twiks. I really love this feature! I may put the 3rd knob in the future.
Thanks for submitting this suggestions, I would like to see this features in a future 49key keytar. ;)

  • It's my pleasure to get your feedback to the right place! I'm really liking the Wireless version with the bigger knobs.

    Thanks again!
