Alesis DM10 electric drum kit recording unwanted triggers

Hi All,
I am using an Alesis DM10 electric drum kit with Studio One 3 and EZdrummer for my small home studio. For some reason, I am getting a lot of additional unwanted triggers during recording. Mostly cymbal hits pretty much on point with my snare. I don't seem to hear this hits when playing though an amp but only while recording. I have checked to see if for some reason they cymbals hits share the same trigger notes with my snare or other pads, but it does not. It is giving me the same issue no matter if I connect USB to the computer, or if I go MIDI to my 1818vsl. Any ideas?

  • Hello Cody,

Thanks for the post. I'd like to help! You or your software could be triggering multiple MIDI notes in your Studio One 3 software. Which MIDI notes will trigger additional sounds? The DM10 will respond to MIDI notes 37, 39, 52, 54-56, 58, 62, and 65-91.

If you continue to experience these symptoms then optimize your module for crosstalk. See below.
