Alesis Samplepad Pro NO AUDIO OUTPUT after firmware upgrade?!

After factory reset and then upgrading the firmware on my samplepad pro, I now have NO AUDIO OUTPUT. Both of the main outputs and the headphones are silent. Pad seems to be responding to hits. I have seen other posts regarding this, but no solutions... Thank you for your help!

    Sorry you're having issues with your SamplePad Pro.

    What was your reasoning for performing the update? If you'd purchased your SamplePad Pro within the last 4 years, this update should have already been applied.

    Can you confirm that the SamplePad Pro successfully took the firmware update? If so, you will see firmware version v1.0.19 upon booting the SamplePad Pro.

    If you're working with custom samples, make sure these files are stored on the root of your SD card and not in any folders.

  • Thanks for the response Bill.I did purchase the unit about 3 years ago. I did the factory reboot to start fresh with the unit. I decided to do the update to make sure I had the most current version and unfortunately did not look first to see what version I already had installed. Sounds like that was something I did not NEED to do. Did this cause the issues I am having now tho?

    I am not using custom samples at this time. Just the factory kits as they are programmed, no parameter changes, etc. I have used external samples successfully in the past. Thank you for asking.

    I have read and tried all of the suggestions that I can find on the forums and still can not solve this issue. I assume I need to call Alesis directly to figure it out? The unit was not dropped or otherwise abused. In fact, it has not been used very many times in general. Would love to use it tho. Thanks if you can help!

  • I aologize for not answering the question regarding the firmware confirmation. It did the full update successfully and reads " v1.0.19"

  • Yes, if the latest firmware is already loaded on the SamplePad Pro and you attempt to push the update again, this could potentially cause damage to the unit.
