ALESIS SURGE MESH TWO TRIGGERS IS IN THE SAME MIDI NOTE

I HAVE THIS PROBLEM ON MIDI NOTES SENT FROM THE MODULE TO MY DAW (ABLETON + EZDRUMMER) IN MY ALESIS SURGE MESH KIT

WHEN I HIT THE CRASH 1 THE MIDI NOTE IS B2 AND IF I ALSO HIT THE RIM ON TOM2 IT ALSO GETS B2 NOTE, IN SHORT CRASH 1 AND TOM2 RIM IS IN B2 NOTE,

WHENEVER I HIT ANY OF THEM, IT GIVE ME SAME SOUND BECAUSE THEY ARE IN THE SAME NOTE.

BUT IN THE MODULE SOUND, THEY ARE IN DIFFERENT NOTE.
THE ONLY PROBLEM IS WHEN I CONNECT MY MODULE INTO MY DAW (ABLETON + EZDRUMMER)

I ALSO USE LOOPB AND EDRUM TO REASSIGN THE MIDI NOTES ON EZDRUMMER

HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME, THANK YOU

  • Hi Harold,

    Thanks for posting.

It sounds like this is an issue with your mapping within EZ Drummer, LOOPB, or EDrum. You will need to change your mapping and MIDI assignments from within any of those 3 softwares you're using.

  • Thanks for the reply Bill..

I doubled check my midi assignments on EDrum,

I also tried hitting one of them at a time when assigning in EDrum,

When i hit the Crash 1 the Edrum Reads it in B2 note,
and in the other hand, when i hit tom2 rim it also registers B2,

i also tried running EDrum alone,(without ableton and ez drummer)
both of them registers B2 Note,

i also tried this withour edrum, only in Studio drummer, Whenever i change the crash, it also changes the tom 2 rim,

and i also tried recording the midi in ableton, both of them triggers the B2 note..

I dont really know where the error is coming from..

    thanks you for the help

  • OK, you can follow these steps below to change the MIDI note being sent by your pad(s):

    1) Hit the pad whose settings you want to adjust, or press its corresponding Pad Select button.
    2) Press Voice, then press Page/Select until MID appears in the display.
    3) Use the < and > buttons to adjust the value.

Here are the pad MIDI note numbers for the kit:

    To save your settings:

    1) Press Save.
    2) Use the < and > buttons to select the User Kit slot you want to save it to (25-40).
    3) Press Save again.
